The goal of our Nursing Home Ministry is to reach out to the residents in adult care facilities with the love of our Lord, the Word of God & the offer of salvation through Jesus Christ, our Lord. We take the words of Matthew 25:40 as guiding words from the Lord, ďIn as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.Ē It is our goal to share the Gospel with those needing Salvation and to uplift and encourage those who have a relationship with the Lord. Residents in senior care facilities face new challenges which can be difficult for many of them. We want to be there with Godís love. One in five adults over the age of 65 will spend some part of their remaining years in a senior care facility. We donít want them forgotten. Statistics show that 85% of care center residents never receive a single visit from friends or relatives! We at First Assembly truly care about the elderly in the many facilities of our country. We provide literature which includes Bibles and devotional materials to encourage, empower and uplift the residents and staff. We also have provided corsages on Motherís day for the female residents and staff. The residents are greatly encouraged by this outreach of love! Teachers, volunteers, faith supporters, and people who will pray daily for our staff, workers, and the elderly are greatly needed and appreciated.
