New Jerseys correctional institutions are full of weary, scattered and lost people. Like the prodigal son, the men, women and children who occupy correctional facilities have wandered far away from God and family and need to know God’s gift of forgiveness and purpose through Jesus Christ.
It is with quiet and reverent praise and thankfulness to God that we can take the good news of the kingdom of God into the Correctional Facility. We praise God for the Holy Spirit that helps us and for His angel that are encamped around us. We are thankful for the faithful dedication of our team of workers we have.
In the book of Matthew we get a glimpse of Jesus’ love for people: “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”. Each member of our Team has gone through a screening and orientation process and has been accepted by the facility to minister to the men. I believe we are making a difference in that facility. We have an average of 15-25 men per service. The men are encouraged and strengthened by the Word of God. We believe that the Word of God will not return unto him void but will accomplish the purpose for which he sent it out.
